An experienced clinician and entrepreneur, Dr. Sarjoo Patel believes everyone has a right to well-coordinated, high quality, sustainable healthcare, regardless of their location. With a background in hospital medicine and management information systems, his ongoing projects leverage technology and information to increase access to and quality of healthcare, while reducing the costs of and frequent barriers to healthcare delivery. To this effect, Dr. Patel founded Beam Healthcare, bringing specialty care to rural healthcare facilities and underserved communities. Beam Healthcare provides telemedicine programs including hospitalist, cardiology, pulmonology, infectious disease, and respiratory therapy services to rural and critical access hospitals.
